CAUTION: This is not the kind of thermometer a nurse points at your forehead to check your temperature. Do not point it at anyone’s forehead because the targeting laser beam could be damaging to anyone who looks into it.

Note on quality.  This item has a look and feel of a cheap plastic product compared to professional versions generally available at at least twice the price.  However, it works the same and proved reasonably accurate when tested next to a professional version.
